                               MANCHESTER UNITED - SEASON REVIEW

Here is my review of my team Manchester United's season so far:

MY THOUGHTS SO FAR:

I feel that we have had a pretty good season so far, especially due to all the changes in the summer, the new manager and the disaster that was last season. We had a very poor start to the season, losing to Swansea and Leicester and being held by Burnley, but have lost just once in 13 games, so Van Gaal's philosophy must be starting to come across, which can only mean good things for the club going forward. Hopefully we can secure a place in the top 4 and push for the title next season.

My Strongest XI:

In my opinion our best performances this season have been using this 4-4-2 diamond formation, and I think that our best performance of the whole season was against QPR, and this is a very similar side to the one we played against them

De Gea

Rafael     Smalling               Jones          Shaw

Blind

Rooney            Herrera

Di Maria

Van Persie            Falcao

Where Do We Need Strengthening?

I think that our defence is an area in which we really need strengthening, especially in the centre of defence. In my opinion we need experience there rather than investing in young players such as Laporte and Gimenez, so i think that Hummels should be our prime target. I think that we should also get David De Gea's contract tied up, and offer a new deal for Van Persie. I feel another signing that could benefit our club is the Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, who has recently returned from a long term injury and is no stranger to Van Gaal.
